One-on-One

We are all different.

That shouldn't come as a surprise, but we still need to keep bringing it up and put it out into the world time and time again.

So,
if we are all different,

Why on earth do we keep simplifying human health and performance to single causes, conditions, and treatments?

Why do we assume a treatment should work for that individual just because a massive multi-thousand trial showed that "on average", it does?

Or that the same problem or condition has the same cause and will be improved by the same protocol?

The moment we removed our individuality from the equation and started relying on averages of the masses and the law of probabilities, we lost the ability to make a real change in each individual.

Because we are all different, it means that our bodies, our brains, and our minds work differently from one another.

We are exposed to different issues and worries and are influenced by specific and unique environments.

Let's consider fatigue.

It is a great example as most people feel it nowadays. Because of that, we may assume that we must feel like that, there's no way out and we just need to cope with it.

It's not true:

That's the average mindset speaking.
Having prime levels of energy (and focus and stamina) is possible!

Here's how we would approach it:

  • The first step is to investigate: a detective-like procedure with the goal of answering one question: "What's wrong with this system?".

    While we look for the answer, we dig deep into several areas of the body, brain and mind through a combination of clinical interviews and data from common labs, metabolic tests and wearables data analysis, in particular:

    • Hormonal balance, in particular HPA axis;

    • Brain chemistry;

    • Autonomous nervous system balance;

    • Immunity and inflammation;

    • Lifestyle habits - sleep, exercise, diet and self-care.

  • What we uncover helps to understand what's the root cause behind the fatigue - and not take it at face value.

    Disturb in the optimum function of any of them can lead to fatigue:

    • Lack of the Cortisol Awakening Response in the first 60 minutes after waking up;

    • Low dopamine;

    • Chronic overstimulation of the parassympathetic nervous system;

    • Inflammation spike induced by diet;

    • Too much exercise at the wrong timing of the day.

  • With such different imbalances, only by getting to the bottom of it we'll be able to know what's happening.

    After understanding what the potential limiting factors may be, the next step is to develop a strategy to address it and overcome it by applying any science-based tool and strategy available to us and that will, in one way or the other, move the needle in the direction we want to go.

We apply any science-based tool and strategy. As we usually say:

The best treatment is not what you should do but actually what you can do.

The plans must be doable and every change we suggest (diet, sleep, exercise, biohacks, supplementation, etc.) are adapted to each individual, their goals and lifestyle.

In fact, we believe that the best plan is not what should be done but that can be done.

The third and final step is to closely monitor the implementation and impact of the program, providing frequent feedback, insight and support throughout the journey.

We aim to be the personal coach, mentor and assistant, doing our very best to:
